Have you ever felt like you were stuck in a certain place in your life? No matter what you do, you just can’t break out of the rut you seem to be in. It’s not a great place to be.
Although you have dreams and goals, you just can’t seem to make any headway towards reaching them. You try to get motivated, but it doesn’t work. You sort of drift through your days becoming increasingly frustrated that you are…well, stuck.
How do you shake this off and become unstuck? What can you do to get the process moving along more quickly?

It doesn’t really matter how, but you need to get moving. Whether you take a short walk or take the time for a good stretch, you need to get your heart pumping and allow more oxygen to circulate through your body.
By increasing the oxygen levels to your brain, you’ll be able to think more clearly and focus. By having more clear and focused thoughts, the answer to why you’re stuck may suddenly become very obvious to you.
The brain is an amazing thing and goes through different phases for different purposes. For example, if you are trying to find the solution to a problem, your brain goes into “focus mode,” where it focuses all its energy on coming up with answers for you.
The brain also has a “relaxation mode,” during which time the brain relaxes and more thoughts and possible solutions are allowed to enter. The thoughts coming through during this phase can seem unrelated, but still offer possible solutions to your problems. During this phase, things you may have never considered before come to mind.
Sometimes when you take your mind of things, the answers or solutions come to you very quickly with very little effort.
Just Do it
Another way you can become unstuck is if you just take action. Inspiration often comes while you’re busy working, even in an unrelated way. So if you have no real idea how to proceed, just take any small action in the direction you want to go.
For instance, if you want to change careers, but don’t really know exactly what you want to do, start job hunting. By taking that small action, you may just stumble across a great job opportunity that you may never have considered before.
If you want to paint a picture, just start painting anything until inspiration strikes. This applies to anything and everything.
Keep in mind that the action you take doesn’t have to be perfect, or an “all or nothing” situation. You can change direction once you get started. Don’t be afraid to take action because it’s not the perfect time, or you don’t know exactly what you should be doing.
